The Sisters of St. Joseph’s began their work in Hamilton in 1852, caring for cholera victims in the docks. Today, their legacy shapes St. Joseph’s Health System (SJHS), which serves over 2 million people across five cities with over 8,000 staff. SJHS is a leader in integrated care, transforming patient outcomes and care delivery. Their mission continues through the dedication of physicians, staff, researchers, learners, donors, and volunteers.
