It’s hard to believe that 5 years have already flown by since the first and only Canadian Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS location opened up in the heart of downtown Toronto’s innovation district. To commemorate our anniversary, we’ll be looking back at where we’ve been, where we’re going, and the milestones we’ve hit along the way.

Day 1: Celebrating 5 years of startup support at JLABS @ Toronto – from early stage, to entering the clinic

Join us for a retrospective of the last 5 years at JLABS @ Toronto and how we’ve supported the 88 life science startups that have come through our doors. The first day of our anniversary celebration will feature three current residents who have recently entered their first phase 1 clinical trial. They’ll give tips and tricks on how to get to the clinic, scaling up quickly for a study, lessons learned, watch-outs, and more.

Day 2: The next stage – helping JLABS @ Toronto alumni secure partnerships and collobrations, and the future of Canadian innovation

A fireside chat with Allan Miranda, Regional Head, JLABS @ Toronto, will kick off the second day of anniversary programming. He’ll discuss his vision for the future of JLABS @ Toronto and the Canadian life sciences ecosystem. You’ll also hear from three JLABS @ Toronto alumni companies who will discuss their experiences securing corporate partnerships with big pharma.
