The Jacobs Institute is a one-of-a-kind medical innovation center located on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in Buffalo, N.Y. All within a single building, the JI is the only place in the world that serves as an independently operated medical nonprofit, ISO 13485:2016 certified medical innovation center.

At the JI, a collaborative partnership of clinicians, researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs work hand-in-hand to create and develop the next generation of medical devices. These devices will revolutionize the treatment of vascular diseases in Western New York and beyond.

Our facility is uniquely positioned between a state-of-the-art Kaleida Health’s Gates Vascular Institute and a world-class research facility, the University at Buffalo’s Clinical and Translational Research Center. The confluence of these active medical and research facilities, as well as the experts who work there, are the key to the JI’s innovative approach.
