CEPEM drives innovation in personal protective equipment (PPE), supporting Canadian companies in design, material selection, and advanced technology development. Established during COVID-19, it enabled local manufacturers to produce thousands of masks and face shields daily. The center also developed a specialized testing facility to assess breathability, filtration efficiency, and fit, ensuring high-quality PPE standards.
