New Hamilton hospital one step closer
A new women and children’s hospital downtown is one step closer to realization after the Local Health Integration Network approved Hamilton Health Sciences’ 20-year plan.
The plan, which would see HHS vacate the McMaster Children’s Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital sites, passed at the Feb. 28 meeting of the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant LHIN.
“We are grateful to the LHIN Board for this vote of confidence in our proposal,” CEO Rob MacIsaac said in a statement.
“Their endorsement is an important milestone in the planning process. We will continue to work with our partners to make our vision for the future of health care delivery in our region a reality.”
