Franhaufer BEAM Center Secures $12m in Federal Funding
McMaster University and the federal government are focusing a new BEAM on Hamilton’s economy. With a federal grant of almost $12 million, along with money from the city, province and others, the university will open its new Biomedical Engineering and Advance Manufacturing centre — BEAM for short — next year. The centre is being developed in conjunction with Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology, based in Leipzig
